DHS South Shore apartment raid

Description

In the early morning hours of 9/30/25, federal agents rappelled from a Blackhawk helicopter onto the roof of a large apartment complex. They were allegedly in search of members of a Venezuelan gang, Tren de Aragua. Agents emptied the building by making warrantless entry in apartments, breaking down doors, and detaining residents, including children. Property damage caused by the raid resulted in residents being forced to relocate soon after. Joint operation between DHS, Border Patrol, ICE, and FBI.
